There are four types of membership: Regular, Life, Junior, and Honorary. A "life" member is a regular member with 25 consecutive years of COKC membership. A “regular” member is one age 18 or older. Junior membership is available to children ages 9-18, residing in the household of, or sponsored by a regular member. An Honorary Member is awarded by the Board to an individual making significant contributions to the Sport, Breed or Club.
To become a COKC member, you must attend a general club meeting. Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month, at 7 p.m. Please check the Calendar for the location. The exceptions are August, when we hold our picnic, and December, when we hold our holiday party. Our awards banquet is usually held in March. Our regular meetings are held earlier in the months of April and November due to our Spring and Fall dog shows so that final details can be worked out prior to the shows.
After you attend one general meeting, you can apply for membership. You will need two sponsors, who must be current COKC members. Your application will be read at two general meetings after it is received. At the second reading, it will be voted upon for acceptance.
The COKC membership chair is Victoria Cantor, firstname.lastname@example.org, phone: 614-216-5912. You may contact her for additional membership information. Our current membership application form is available below:
