Membership Awards Banquet and Celebration

The COKC Awards Banquet is scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2026.
The Awards Banquet will be held at Napa Kitchen + Bar at 925 N State St in Westerville (same location as last year).  We will have a buffet similar to last year’s banquet.  Please include any dietary restrictions or food allergies with your reservation for the awards banquet as the restaurant will accommodate your needs.
To plan for our awards banquet, we need the following from our members interested in attending.  Please email Autumn at acadia.weimaraners@gmail.com with the following information:
1.  We need your reservation if you are planning on attending the awards banquet, including number of guests.  Your guests, if not COKC members, would have to pay full price for the banquet.  Per our Standing Rules, if you make a reservation but do not attend, you will be required to pay in full unless a Board waiver is granted for extenuating circumstances.
***Also, please provide your volunteer hours for the past year with your reservation.  Per 4.e. of the Standing Rules, ‘a member must provide service to the club, which may include holding office, or serving on a committee, or providing service in a capacity to the show committee in order to receive a reduced price or no cost meal.  The Board will consider this rule on a case-by-case basis.’
2.  I will need to know how many awards, if any, you will be submitting so we know how many trophies will need to be ordered (and personalized).  The COKC Award for 2025 awards will be an engraved picture frame.  I will need a copy of the dog’s AKC certificate to verify the name of the dog, the award attained, and the date of the award during the 2025 year.

Per COKC Standing Rules #5:
      a.  The title must be an AKC title only and the title finished in 2025 (& also after the owner becomes a member).
      b.  Only one award per dog.
      c.  Member co-owners of a dog receiving an award shall have the option of purchasing a duplicate award that must be prepaid prior to the Awards Banquet.
Lifetime Member awards will be presented at the banquet and the new Lifetime Member (and guest) will receive dinner at no cost.
Please respond with whether you will be attending the banquet and with the number of awards you are submitting by January 31, 2026.  You must also email/mail your certificates to me by January 31, 2026.  *In addition, for this year’s awards banquet, we will be recognizing additional titles for dogs who have already received their one COKC Award with a certificate… please indicate this when submitting your dog’s AKC certificates.*   We will not be accepting late submissions!
